Spanish for Healthcare Professionals

Practical, human-centered Spanish for real patient interactions

You don’t need perfect Spanish to care for your patients. You need to connect—and feel confident doing it. This class is designed to help you do exactly that.

Designed with nurses and patient-facing roles in mind,

and open to all healthcare professionals

✨ This class is a good fit for you if:

  • You’ve studied some Spanish before

  • You can understand basic phrases and express simple ideas

  • You want to feel more confident using Spanish in real interactions with patients

(This is not for complete beginners—but if you’re starting from scratch, we offer beginner classes to help you build a strong foundation and grow into this course.)

💛 What we’ll focus on:

This is not a traditional, clinical Spanish class. We won’t be memorizing long vocabulary lists or focusing on perfect grammar.

Instead, we’ll focus on connection:

  • 💬 Welcoming patients and helping them feel at ease

  • ❓ Asking simple, meaningful questions about how they’re feeling

  • 💧 Offering comfort and care in Spanish

  • 🫶 Using language to build trust—even when your Spanish isn’t perfect

  • 🌿 Developing positive self-talk—because you deserve care too

And yes— we'll have fun while we're doing it so it doesn't feel like more work.

🌱 The goal:

To help you communicate with more confidence, presence, and compassion—
even with the Spanish you already have.

Because connection matters more than perfect Spanish.

TESTIMONIALS

As a nurse, I never know what my schedule is going to look like, but Colleen is so flexible and understanding, which has made it possible for me to stick with Spanish. Her classes are actually fun, and I’ve already been able to use what I’ve learned with my Spanish-speaking patients. It feels amazing to connect with them in their own language.
